Your Last Week As A 3 Year Old: Sunday

You've been home such a short time. Only 2 months. And you have grown at least 2 inches and gained a whole pound!

You have gained so much more than that, though. Your sweet smiles show your joy at having a family. You have also learned to be sad. To cry and let Mommy and Daddy comfort you. You have learned to fall and pick yourself back up again.
You are so brave and so funny. You are so smart and so beautiful. You amaze us every single day.

On this first day of your last week as a 3 year old....
You started off the morning as a mermaid with a tail fashioned from Daddy's shoe.

Those shoes that you love to walk in pretending to be the first man who held your heart.

You and Mommy put on pretty dresses and Daddy dressed up too. Then we went to our church for the first time as a family of three. You met so many new people who love you so much.

We had a yummy lunch with Golly and then came home. You took a nap with your Dash (though you didn't know it until you woke up). You are building your relationship with your doggy every day. I'm so proud to watch you as you have moved from fear to acceptance and eventually to loving our sweet puppy boy.

In the afternoon, you played on your slide. Your confidence as you navigate your new world overwhelms me and makes me so proud and happy to be your mommy. You love playing outside and running with your Daddy.

Golly came over and helped Daddy hang our new swing. We ended our evening outside by swinging and giggling as a family.

As you snuggled up with your Jasmine and drifted off to dreams, you came one day closer to being a 4 year old.
